This high end audio company needed a wordpress website in order that their dealers would have the ability to login to a dealer Administration area. This was particularly challenging as the company was managing 100 of dealers in almost every state.
originally, the company had built their website on the Joomla platform. Unfortunately as has been the case for many Joomla users, the interface proved too daunting and usability have been reduced to nothing.
and so, my favorite web designs was ultimately retained to convert the website from Joomla to WordPress.
Along the way, we ended up adding almost 40 new pages, an interactive map, the login area, and many interactive and media rich features, such as gallery and event pages. I stayed in touch with the company as they have been growing, and so far they are still using all the original programming that I did for them.
One of the biggest challenges was a custom dealer locator feature that was on their previous website and required specialized server configuration in order to operate on the new website, integrating it into the word press content management system. this was achieved by using an I-frame to bring the functionality into the wordPress container without disrupting any of the existing code. Im very proud of the work , design and development that has gone into this website , it was done earlier in my career and yet remains a great example of my early work.
when looking at this website you may notice minor inconsistencies from page to page. This was due to the website owner editing his website using the administration interface. The ambitious website owner strived to achieve custom layouts that typically require many years of experience in web design. he did achieve that goal using tables which resulted in slightly different formatting in the many browsers. However, it still came out great, and he was able to achieve his attention and continue producing pages for new products add new dealers years after we had launched his site.
